Depois do impacto da inflação veio a recuperação dos rendimentos ao longo deste ano, mas 2025 será de um ritmo significativamente mais lento no avanço dos salários. O Orçamento traz maior alívio nos impostos para as famílias e as pensões têm dupla subida, com a atualização normal e o adicional aprovado por proposta do PS. A poupança regressará aos níveis dos anos da pandemia, muito acima do histórico das famílias.

Russian air defences reportedly caused the aeroplane crash in Kazakhstan that killed at least 38 of the 67 people on board. According to Reuters, a preliminary investigation by Azerbaijani officials revealed that the Azerbaijan Airlines flight was struck by Russian anti-aircraft fire. Russia warned against such “hypotheses”. The aircraft had been diverted from landing in Grozny in Chechnya before attempting an emergency landing.
The WHO said that Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the agency’s head, was unharmed after an Israeli air strike hit an airport in Yemen. Dr Tedros was preparing to leave the country when the attack occurred, reportedly killing at least two people. Israel said that the strikes targeted military sites held by the Houthis, a militant group backed by Iran.

Humans are returning to the Moon—this time, to stay. Because our presence will be more permanent, NASA has selected a location that maximizes line-of-sight communication with Earth, solar visibility, and access to water ice: the Lunar South Pole (LSP). While the Sun is in the lunar sky more consistently at the poles, it never rises more than a few degrees above the horizon; in the target landing regions, the highest possible elevation is 7°. This presents a harsh lighting environment never experienced during the Apollo missions, or in fact, in any human spaceflight experience.
