PwC released the 2023 Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey which details the attitudes and behaviours of nearly 54,000 workers in 46 countries and territories.
Despite a softening economy globally, ‘The Great Resignation’ looks to continue. One in four (26%) employees say it is likely they will change jobs in the next 12 months, up from 19% last year. Workers who said they are most likely to change employers include those who feel overworked (44%), struggle to pay the bills every month (38%), and Gen Z (35%).
Ninety-seven percent of companies surveyed have already felt the effects of climate change—triggering a greater sense of urgency to act now
However, some CxOs are struggling to take actions that balance short-term incremental steps with long-term measurable impact, nor do they seem to fully understand the benefits of embedding sustainability into business strategies and operations
A series of actions emerge as a model for driving climate impact

Digital-to-Reality Gap Shows Current Technology Use Fails to Improve Outcomes for Supply Chain Decision Makers
The vast majority of the supply chain environment is uncaptured by supply chain decision makers’ current digital models, according to Gartner, Inc.
This incomplete view of the supply chain results in digital trade-off analysis failing to improve decision makers’ outcomes, despite the potentially transformative capabilities of these new tools. Digital trade-off analysis includes things such as what-if analysis, scenario modeling, or simulations. Digital trade-off analysis offers improvements in analytical power and clarity when processes are adhered to and enabled with high-quality data.
The effects of risk factors can be calculated in different ways. How are they calculated and interpreted?
by Saloni Dattani
Over their lifetimes, people are often exposed to various factors that make disease or death more likely to occur. These are known as health “risk factors”.
To guide decisions in public health, such as how to prevent premature deaths or how to allocate public health resources, it’s crucial to know about the impacts of different risk factors.
Risk factors that have a large effect, or are common in the population, can help us understand which interventions would make a big difference.
But how can we measure the risk that a given factor has on the outcomes we care about?
